Dysphagia,Oropharyngeal Dysphagia  is a symptom that refers to the difficulty or discomfort during the progression of the bolus from the mouth to the stomach. In the last decade , this group has increased by 28% while the rest of the population has increased by 0.8 %  .Dysphagia or Oropharyngeal Dysphagia  It is estimated that 16.5 million older people in the United States require dysphagia care in 2010  .Dysphagia, Despite its enormous impact on functional ability , health and quality of life of older people with oropharyngeal dysphagia is underestimated and underdiagnosed as a cause of respiratory symptoms and nutritional complications and higher in elderly patients . Oropharyngeal dysphagia meets most of the criteria to be recognized as a major geriatric syndrome and their prevalence is very high among older patients and results in various diseases ,Dysphagia risk factors and diseases of precipitation  .Dysphagia The current state of the art in the management of oropharyngeal dysphagia in elderly patients is the identification of patients at risk of early dysphagia, by evaluating changes in the biomechanical response events oropharyngeal swallow, trying to prevent and treat possible complications of dysphagia or Oropharyngeal Dysphagia  such as aspiration pneumonia ( AP ) and malnutrition, and the recognition of oropharyngeal dysphagia as a major geriatric syndrome .
